This project was a deep dive into brand creation, merging history, sustainability, and design to establish a compelling identity for a bio pasta manufacturer. The concept centered around a historic Victorian-era brewery in Wexford County, Ireland, which sought to innovate by repurposing its Brewery Spent Grains (BSG) into high-quality, organic pasta. This sustainable approach gave the brand a strong foundation rooted in tradition while embracing modern eco-conscious practices. To visually represent this unique backstory, the design process focused on achieving a delicate balance between vintage charm and contemporary appeal. Inspiration was drawn from Victorian-era mirror frames and traditional ornamental detailing, which added a sense of authenticity and heritage. The typography and intricate flourishes were carefully selected to evoke the craftsmanship of the past, while the structured layout and clean execution ensured a modern and sophisticated look. The brand identity was reinforced with a distinctly Irish color palette, utilizing deep greens and rich, earthy tones to reflect the lush landscapes of Ireland. The logo design incorporated classic type treatments and decorative embellishments reminiscent of historical packaging and signage, further strengthening the connection to the brewery’s legacy. Beyond the visual identity, the project extended into packaging design for three distinct pasta types, each maintaining a cohesive yet unique aesthetic within the brand’s framework. A promotional trifold was developed to communicate the company’s story and values, while an advertisement, designed for both print and television, captured the essence of the brand’s Irish heritage and commitment to sustainability. This project was one of my most comprehensive to date, encompassing every aspect of branding from concept development to final execution. It successfully created a visually striking and thematically rich identity that positioned the brand as both unmistakably Irish and forward-thinking in the realm of sustainable food production.
